Kelly Clarkson is an American singer and songwriter who became the country's most loved after winning the American Idol title in the very first season of the show. This victory did more than make her known to the world, but earned her a deal for several albums through RCA Records 19 Recordings as well as 'S Records. Since then she has released numerous studio albums, including three of which reached the top of the US Billboard 200' chart and the rest of her albums just missed the coveted spot. She's among the top artists to are emerging from American Idol. The singer began to play around with music and themes as her popularity grew. Her uniqueness and vocal ability earned her critical acclaim, as well a few prestigious distinctions. Her most notable achievement is the fact that she was awarded the Grammy Award three times. She also has been featured in movies and on television. She is also the author of the novel for children called River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and is involved with numerous charities.
