LeBron Raymone James Sr. is an American professional basketball player that is a player with the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. Nicknamed King James he is widely considered one of the greatest basketball players ever and is frequently compared to Michael Jordan in debates over the best basketball player of all time. James has been awarded four NBA championships and four NBA MVPs, three All-Star MVPs along with the two Olympic medals. James had more points than any other player during the playoffs, has had the second highest number of career points, and has the seventh-highest number of career assists. It is a NBA record that he's been an NBA All-Star for 18 years. James was the third player to participate in NBA Finals. Eight of the games were in consecutive order from the year 2011 until the year 2018. James was selected to join the 75th Anniversary Team. And in 2022 he became first NBA player ever to score more than 10,000 career points. James was a basketball player at St. Vincent St. Mary High School, which is located near his home in Akron Ohio. His future NBA career was hyped by media. As a prep-to-pro player, he was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the first overall pick in the 2003 NBA draft. In 2004, he was named NBA Rookie. He soon was one of the league's best players, and won the NBA MVP title in both the years 2009 and 2010. James, who was unable to be crowned the champion at Cleveland in 2010 was released as a free agent and joined his team the Miami Heat. This was made clear by the book The Decision. It is one of the most controversial choices made by a sports free-agent in history.
