The single came out in 2015, when she was 19 years old. It was a huge hit and received praise from critics and listeners alike. It was ranked in the Canadian Hot 100, and Billboard Hot 100, ranked the single at 19. Even Rolling Stone ranked the track as one of the year's Top Songs. Her debut Know It All album in the year that followed. The third single, Scars to Your Beautiful was one of five songs that reached the top spots on Billboard including Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 as well as Billboard Hot 100. This track was special since, in light of the Rap-Up interview that she did with people who listened to her music could identify with her journey of learning to love themselves as well as doubting herself.
