In her interview with Rap-Up, many listeners spoke about Cara's struggle to find self-love as well as the doubts she faced. Cara's songs often include positive thoughts about mental health, and how important it is to love yourself. The music that she has written stems from her personal struggles to overcome mental health problems and insomnia. Interview with Reuters the singer said that her album was "half tumultuous" and "half perfect". The therapy she received helped her grow and urges other artists to follow the same path. Alessia Cara is a Canadian performer who was born on July 11 1996 to parents from Italian heritage. At the age of 10 old, her parents bought her a guitar that became the starting point of her passion for music. She began covering the songs she loved at 13, to prove to that world that she could sing and had the confidence required to become the next singer. Indeed she covered one of her song Sweater Weather was the track that got her noticed by EP Entertainment. They allowed her to compose and create her own tracks.
