In 2015 at 19 she published her first debut single, Here. It received lots of attention and was well-liked by both listeners and critics. It reached number 19 in both Billboard Hot 100 and the Canadian Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone ranked the song among the 2015's Top Songs. The same year that she released Know It All. Scars to Your Beautiful One of her original five tracks that was featured in the Billboard Charts including Billboard Hot 100 in Canada and Billboard 200 for the Canadian Albums Charts. According to an interview Cara did in conjunction with Rap Up, this particular song had a lot of significance for a lot people listening who were drawn to her story about accepting and loving your self. Cara's tracks often contain positive messages regarding mental health, and how important it is to love yourself. The inspiration for her music stems from her personal struggles to overcome mental health problems as well as insomnia. According to a Reuters Interview, her album was described as half tumultuous half perfected. The therapy she received made her stronger and she encourages people to try it too. Alessia Cara, a Canadian musician, was born in Canada on the 11th of July 1996 of Italian parents of Italian descent.
