According to an interview Cara gave with Rap Up, the song held a lot of meaning for many people who listened to her tale of learning to accept and love yourself. Cara is well-known for her ability to incorporate the themes of mental health and kindness and self-love into her music. The music of Cara is directly from her struggles with mental illness, insomnia and other issues. According to Reuters interview, she's described her album as half-tumultuous but half perfected. She says she grew through therapy, and encourages other people to get help when necessary. Alessia Cara, a Canadian musician was born in Canada on 11 July 1996, was a daughter of Italian descent parents. The guitar was gifted to her by her parents after she turned 10 which ignited her musical passion. She started covering the songs she loved at 13, to prove to that world that she could sing and had the determination required to be the next singer. In fact, one of the covers Sweater Weather got noticed by a record label named EP Entertainment which allowed her to compose and record the songs.
